Singing before she could even speak, Clem Rubato is a Parisian singer-songwriter who has developed her musical style between the pop culture of Rihanna, the melodic richness of Cole Porter’s jazz, the Latin sweetness of João Gilberto’s bossa nova, and the incisive lyrics of rap. She reveals herself in the pop soul characteristic of her warm and powerful voice. She learned to play the piano in elementary school so she could accompany herself, and from the age of 13, she performed in front of audiences on various stages. While studying at Paris-Dauphine University, she set herself a challenge on Instagram called “1 song a day,” posting a piano-voice cover every day, and resumed her intensive practice of music. After working at Sony and Warner, she decided to launch her professional music project and released her first tracks independently. Winner of the Fonds Régnier pour la Création’s Summer Chance 2025 award, she is about to release her new French pop soul EP, “Feu Flamme,” recorded at Red House Studio.
After releasing her first EP, “It’s All Around,” in 2023, a pop album in English with disco and funk influences, Clem Rubato met Malter, a member of the duo Hier. Their musical and personal chemistry was obvious, and together they decided to produce the singer’s next EP in French, her native language. Their meeting marked a real turning point in Clem Rubato’s musical creation. The composer’s deeply soulful artistic touch blends perfectly with the singer’s groove, resulting in an EP with warm, swaying sounds, dealing with subjects that are sometimes heavy, such as the liberation of speech among victims of violence—marking the artist’s commitment to the cause of women—and sometimes love. For the recording of the EP at Red House Studio, Clem Rubato surrounded herself with her musicians and friends: Antoine Piels, Charles Desgrandchamps, Nathan Tieb, and Lavinia Roussel.
The 4-track pop soul EP “Feu Flamme” will be released in 2026.

What is “Summer Chance”?
On July 1st, 2020 we launch a call for projects dedicated to musical creation to support the emerging scene: “SUMMER CHANCE #1” is born :).
We wish then, taking into account the sanitary constraints related to the epidemic of Covid-19, to allow bands deprived of concerts, to finalize during this period a project of EP in professional and convivial conditions. Our partner, the Red House Studio, has all the qualities to welcome the winners: a magnificent house of 450 m2 in a peaceful and green setting, an ultra professional human accompaniment with a dedicated sound engineer and state-of-the-art equipment.
Among the many applications received during the summer, our selection committee has chosen four winners: Kids Return, LUNAR, Zoe’s Shanghai and Black Rooster.
The project is a real springboard for these musicians, and we’ve decided to repeat it every year:
