Kim KototamaLune- Plastic artist
Kim KototamaLune’s sculptures conjure up imaginary worlds that blend reality, biology and botany.
“Nourished by underwater worlds, but also by neuroscience and quantum physics, I patiently weave all these networks. Giving my glass organic suppleness by making glass lace is a long process. Each weld is made one by one until the shape appears because I’ve chosen to create my work without a mold, to confront the to confront the void. This changes my perception of reality…”.
These worlds of organic beauty question the representation of imperceptible phenomena linked to the generation of bodies and their metamorphosis.
Today, she creates glass sculptures in abstract organic forms. Playing with material and immaterial, transparency and volume, the fragile appearance of solid glass, Kim KototamaLune lets us see inside her sculptures. Indeed, for the artist, in this age of the virtual and permanent connection, what really creates the link between people is what we have in common: the cellular interior that makes us up, the hidden interior of the human being, the poetry of the body.
Kim KototamaLune has had solo exhibitions at MusVerre, Musée du verre contemporain (Sars-Poteries, 2023), Kalmar Konsmuseum Museum of Contemporary Art (Sweden, 2018), Villa Tamaris Contemporary Art Center (La Seyne-sur-Mer, 2018) or Château du Rivau (Val de Loire, 2018) or at Da-End gallery. She has been presented by Laurence Dreyfus at “Chambres à part XI: Small is beautiful” in 2016 in the VIP section of the fiac, by galerie Da-End at numerous fairs (AsiaNow , Galeristes, Art Paris Art Fair…), and her work has entered numerous private collections, as well as the Château du Rivau.
Jean-Benoist Sallé – Plastic artist
Jean-Benoist studied at the Beaux-Arts in Bourges, followed by a degree in photography and a number of self-taught courses in the fields of image and volume. His artistic approach focuses on questions relating to the body and the perception that surrounds it.
Through stagings that call on all the senses, as well as memory, he brings bodies into dialogue and vibrancy, both that of the work and that of the viewer. Firmly convinced of the primordial, instinctive and direct intelligence of our bodies, he seeks to define their territory and make them perceptible.
Whether through the use of materials such as clay, textile, potting soil or video and the many manipulations it allows, he explores what lies behind the veil of the obvious.
Here, the artist is an ambush hunter, scrutinizing the slightest movements of the Shadow.
