Maxime Huriguen made a name for himself under the pseudonym Xam Hurricane on the TV show The Voice France in 2018. He delivered a series of powerful and moving performances right through to the final, singing English Man in New York live with Sting. Since then, he has continued to expand his artistic horizons.
In 2019, he joined the collective Les Aventuriers d’un autre monde and regularly shares the stage at concerts in France, Luxembourg, and Belgium with former members of the legendary band Téléphone and their entire crew: Richard Kolinka, Louis Bertignac, Jean-Louis Aubert, Zazie, Cali, Calogero, and others.
He made his first appearances in cinema in 2021 in Switzerland and in 2022 in Italy (Lettres en ton nom by Alexandre Schild, Tu choisiras la vie by Stéphane Freiss).
In 2023, he received the Voix du Sud award from Francis Cabrel for his participation in the 51st Astaffort meetings, in recognition of his talent as a songwriter. In 2024, he took his first steps on stage in the hit play Le Cercle des poètes disparus directed by Olivier Solivérès, and performed in over 300 shows.
He then released his first EP (6 tracks), Réveiller les morts, revealing the beginnings of his profound artistic sensibility.
He is currently touring China with the show Molière l’opéra urbain.
After releasing his first EP, Réveiller les morts, self-produced in his home studio in 2024, Xam Hurricane recorded for the first time in professional conditions at Red House Studio, thanks to the Fonds Régnier pour la création and their Summer Chance program. This is his second EP, Villa Rose, four songs composed and written through collaborations over the last few years: “Va” with Clément Doumic from Feu! Chatterton, who co-produced this new EP with Xam, “Villa Rose” with the Franco-Italian group Bivio, “Split Screen” with the artist Almée at the Astaffort songwriting center run by Francis Cabrel (Voix du Sud), and “Comme s’il n’était rien” with the author/composer Mathis Gardel. To capture these fragments of sleepless nights during which Xam chased after love, the decision was made to record live, with Hugo Zeitoun at the controls, recording and mixing the tracks. The sound is organic, rock, melancholic, and interpretive. The arrangements are built around the contributions of excellent musicians led by Clément Doumic and Xam: Martin Boisliveau on drums, Rauz on bass, Martin Sevrin on guitar, Natalia Bacalov on electric cello, and Jean Max on organ. Xam sings his lyrics with pure and deep emotion, staying true to the words. Belgian singer Antoine Delie is the special guest on this new project, featuring the duet “Split Screen,” enhanced by his exceptional voice. The masters are by Mickaël Rangeard. The release is scheduled for before summer 2026 (dates to be announced).

What is “Summer Chance”?
On July 1st, 2020 we launch a call for projects dedicated to musical creation to support the emerging scene: “SUMMER CHANCE #1” is born :).
We wish then, taking into account the sanitary constraints related to the epidemic of Covid-19, to allow bands deprived of concerts, to finalize during this period a project of EP in professional and convivial conditions. Our partner, the Red House Studio, has all the qualities to welcome the winners: a magnificent house of 450 m2 in a peaceful and green setting, an ultra professional human accompaniment with a dedicated sound engineer and state-of-the-art equipment.
Among the many applications received during the summer, our selection committee has chosen four winners: Kids Return, LUNAR, Zoe’s Shanghai and Black Rooster.
The project is a real springboard for these musicians, and we’ve decided to repeat it every year:
SUMMER CHANCE #2 in 2021 : Extraa, Saint-Victoire, Serpent et Yakie.
SUMMER CHANCE #3 in 2022: Mandelbro, The CZ et Torren.
SUMMER CHANCE#4 in 2023: Maeva, Mélys, Ooma et Paul Roman
SUMMER CHANCE#5 in 2024: Eldegee, Sulafa Elyas, Taormina et Two Faced Animal
SUMMER CHANCE#6 in 2025: Xam Hurricane, Tamo et Clem Rubato
